Climate Change Bill
The OCC drafted the Climate Change Bill, which was published in March 2007.
The Climate Change Draft Bill aimed at creating a long-term legal framework to underpin the UK’s contribution to tackling climate change. The Bill proposes a statutory goal of at least a 60% reduction in carbon dioxide by 2050. The Bill has been published for consultation and scrutiny by Parliament and Defra will manage its passage through Parliament. More information can be found at:
